Jonathan Pilbeam

Hello, I am Jonathan, the Founder of Pilbeam Opticians (which I started back in 1989!). It is a privilege to continue to work with such a fantastic team who uphold the founding virtues of eye care at its best, with wonderful eyewear and in such a friendly, welcoming environment.

With fewer clinic days I can spend more time as a trainee driver on the Great Central Heritage Railway – which is quite a contrast to the clinical environment of the Consulting Room! I enjoy singing as a Tenor in Rothley Church choir (and have been doing so for more years than I dare to admit to) and love baking cakes and puddings, especially when the ingredients come direct from the garden! I have been married for nearly 30 years and am a very proud father of two daughters. When we find the time, we enjoy playing board games together, and going for family walks with our rescue dog, Cookie.
